plug&plai provides AI telephone assistants designed to automate communication for recruitment companies. Our AI handles calls, creates summaries, informs employees, transfers calls, and even arranges appointments, ensuring 100% availability and relieving the burden on your human employees.
==How does plug&plai work?== ​
Our AI telephone assistant can be integrated in just a few simple steps, requiring no prior AI knowledge or upfront investment. Once integrated, the AI manages incoming and outgoing calls, learns from interactions, and can be configured for various tasks like pre-qualifying candidates or running outbound call campaigns. ==What are the benefits of using plug&plai?== ​
Using plug&plai offers several benefits, including automating calls, ensuring 100% availability, reducing employee burden, generating short call summaries, and pre-configuring assistants for specific recruiting tasks. It also allows for high-quality incoming and outgoing calls and state-of-the-art speech recognition.
==Do I need to provide a phone number when creating an account?== ​
No, providing a phone number during account registration is optional. You can create an account with just your email address, name, and company information. However, adding a phone number can be helpful for account verification, security purposes, and receiving support from our team. You can always add or update your phone number later in your account settings.
==Do I need to pay for local calls to Germany?== ​
Yes, you will only be charged by your telephone provider for local calls to Germany.
==Why doesn't the voice assistant always respond immediately to callers or seem to hear the caller?== ​
There are several possible reasons:
At the beginning of a call, there may be a brief delay while the connection is established and the speech recognition system is activated.
If the caller speaks immediately or uses only very short words (e.g., "Yes", "Hello", "Customer service"), the assistant doesn't have enough information to respond correctly. Such short speech sequences can also be difficult to perceive acoustically. Background noise or other voices can make recognition even more challenging.
Our solution: We have activated a noise-cancellation feature so the assistant can respond more precisely; however, callers need to speak a bit more for this to work effectively.
Recommendation: Inform potential callers on your website or via email that you use an AI assistant – not an answering machine. Ask callers to speak as they would with a real person: clearly, distinctly, and with sufficient information so their request can be properly understood.
==Why doesn't the voice assistant always inform about call recording immediately?== ​
There are several possible reasons:
In some cases, the caller begins speaking before the assistant can provide information about call recording.
In other cases, the caller hangs up before the bot gets to announce this information.
Recommendation: Optimize the prompt sequence – the recording notice should be either directly in the greeting message or at the very beginning of the conversation, depending on which assistant template you are using.
==Why didn't the voice assistant finish saying the information completely?== ​
The voice assistant always responds according to the specifications in the prompt. If it doesn't complete information fully, this may be because the caller said something during the response and thereby interrupted the assistant – often unintentionally.
Recommendation: Foster a clear communication culture with users and regularly emphasize that they should listen to the voice assistant and speak with it as they would communicate with a real person.
==How can I change the voice of my voice assistant or select a different voice?== ​
Supported Languages & Voices ​
Plug and Plai assistants can integrate different Speech To Text and Text To Speech models (Azure, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Cartesia, OpenAI, Google, and others). Accordingly, we can support up to 74 languages with voices and transcribers.
When using ElevenLabs, we support all languages listed in their supported languages documentation.
Currently, when creating an assistant, you can select: German, English, or Multilingual models. If you need other languages, we support them, but you will need to contact us personally so we can implement them for you accordingly.
Predefined Voices ​
We have already selected some of the best voices from the ElevenLabs platform for you. These predefined voices are proven to have the best variety, quality, stability, speed, pronunciation, style, and sound most humanlike for German and English:

If you prefer to use a different voice, you can select a suitable voice from the ElevenLabs Voice Library and send us the Voice ID code via email. Our team will then integrate this voice into your voice agent.
Important: If you change the gender of the agent (e.g., from female to male), please also adjust the prompt text of your assistant accordingly so that the tone and address remain consistent.
==Where do I get a Compleet token?== ​
Only Compleet can issue the token. When requesting the token, make sure to mention that you only need one token for all branches you have. Compleet should therefore link all branches in your ATS system with this token.
Note for Compleet Persoprofiler: If batch processing is to be used to transfer candidates to unplugged positions, Compleet must set up the interface for Mona. The Mona token must then be entered accordingly at plug&plai. This token was only named this way at plug&plai; a contract or registration with Mona is not required for this. If you want to link both systems, i.e. plug&plai and Mona, simultaneously with Compleet, please contact us, as we have interfaces to Mona.
