Searching Actions
Learn how to efficiently find and filter your actions using the search functionality.
Overview
The Actions search feature allows you to quickly locate specific actions from your list, making it easy to manage large numbers of questions and prompts. Actions are automatically sorted with the most recently created or updated items appearing first, helping you easily access your latest work.

What You Can Search For
The search function looks through:
- Action identifiers: The unique names you gave to your actions
- Exact matches: Actions with identifiers that contain your search term
What Search Doesn't Include
Currently, search only works with action identifiers, not:
- Question text content
- Instructions or examples
- Action types
Managing Search Results
Working with Results
- Click any result to open and edit that action
- Clear search by deleting text from the search box to see all actions
- No results message appears if no actions match your search
- Automatic sorting: Results are ordered with the most recently updated actions first
Finding Recent Work
Since actions are sorted by when they were last updated, your newest or most recently edited questions will appear at the top of both the full list and search results.
Search Performance
- Debounced search: Results appear after you pause typing (1.5 seconds)
- Efficient filtering: Fast performance even with many actions
- Responsive interface: Search works smoothly across different devices
Troubleshooting
If Search Isn't Working
- Check spelling: Make sure you're typing the identifier correctly
- Try partial terms: Use just part of the identifier name
- Clear and retry: Clear the search box and try different terms
- Refresh the page: Reload if search appears to be stuck
Common Issues
- No results found: The search term doesn't match any action identifiers
